About the role

Flatiron School is reimagining how people discover and choose education in an AI-native world. Rather than relying on traditional marketing funnels, we are building intelligent systems that help prospective students navigate complex career decisions through conversation, structured knowledge, and automation.

We’re hiring a Marketing Technology Lead to design and build the infrastructure behind this new experience. You will help transform marketing into a product — combining conversational AI, data pipelines, and automation to create a scalable decision-support system for future students.

This is not a campaign-driven marketing role. You’ll operate closer to a product or systems lead, partnering across content, admissions, and leadership teams to design systems that learn and improve over time.

If you’re excited by building from first principles, shaping how AI interacts with real people, and turning complexity into scalable systems, this role will feel at home.

What you'll do

  • Design and evolve AI-driven growth infrastructure across Crisp, Webflow, Customer.io, Notion, S3, and analytics platforms.
  • Architect conversational journeys that guide prospective students through exploration, qualification, and application.
  • Build automation workflows and feedback loops that continuously improve system performance and user experience.
  • Develop integrations between tools and data layers to reduce manual processes and increase reliability.
  • Design governance models that ensure AI knowledge is accurate, trustworthy, and compliant.
  • Partner with content, admissions, and leadership teams to align systems with real user needs.
  • Create reporting frameworks focused on intent signals, qualification quality, and decision-stage progression.
  • Help shape the long-term evolution of AI-driven growth at Flatiron School.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience in systems design, product operations, growth engineering, marketing technology, RevOps, or related technical environments
  • Comfortable building solutions with tools like Loveable, v0, Claude or Codex and Cursor
  • Strong understanding of automation platforms, APIs, and system architecture concepts (traditional engineering background or deep coding not required, but technical fluency is essential)
  • Experience working with AI-powered workflows, conversational systems, or automation-heavy environments
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business goals into scalable system logic
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving, evolving environments where experimentation is encouraged

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience designing conversational AI or chatbot experiences
  • Familiarity with retrieval-based knowledge systems, semantic search, or AI governance practices
  • Background in education, SaaS, or complex decision-driven customer journeys
  • Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and experimentation

Who this role is NOT for

This role is likely not a fit for candidates focused primarily on campaign management, paid media optimization, or traditional demand generation. We’re looking for builders who think in systems, feedback loops, and infrastructure - not channels or calendars.

Expected Compensation
