Data Center Learning and Training Systems Manager

Position Overview:

As a Data Center Learning and Training Systems Manager, you will play a high-impact, hands-on role supporting the rapid build-out and operational excellence of Fleet’s North American data center portfolio. This position is designed to ensure scalable, consistent, and effective learning systems as the organization grows.


You will own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical, safety, and leadership training programs across all site-based roles, including Data Center Technicians, Critical Facilities Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical Leads, Site Managers, Engineers, and other operational staff.


This is a portfolio-wide role with direct influence on uptime, safety performance, employee retention, and the speed and effectiveness of new-site ramp-ups.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the North America Fleet Data Center technical training curriculum including electrical, mechanical, liquid cooling, controls, MOP/SOP/EOP, and incident command
  • Build and deliver blended programs including classroom, hands-on labs, VR/AR simulations, e-learning, and structured OJT
  • Lead new-site training stand-up during construction and commissioning
  • Partner with global SMEs and OEMs such as Schneider, Vertiv, NVIDIA, and others to keep content current
  • Deliver train-the-trainer sessions to regional leads and site training coordinators
  • Develop and own Learning Management Systems, training libraries, and other training resources for teams
  • Measure training effectiveness using OKRs and KPIs
  • Support staff training and qualification pathways and career development
  • Act as the primary training interface for North America regulatory and compliance audits

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years technical training experience in data centers, power generation, semiconductor, or equivalent 7x24 critical environment
  • Expert-level knowledge of hyperscale systems including MV/HV electrical, chillers, CRAH, direct-to-chip and immersion cooling, BMS/EPMS
  • Proven adult-learning skills including curriculum design, facilitation, and e-learning authoring using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, and similar platforms
  • Strong safety training background including NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, LOTO, Arc Flash, certified trainer strongly preferred
  • Experience with enterprise LMS platforms and learning analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Former hands-on field experience as a data center technician, critical facilities engineer, electrician, or mechanical tech, required to be credible in front of veteran technicians
  • CPLP, ATD Master Trainer, or similar credential
  • Experience building VR/AR training for critical environments
  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
  • Project management experience such as PMP or Scrum

  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of developing long-term power infrastructure plans that align with business growth and technological advancements
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in planning, designing, and reviewing electrical systems to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and reliability


Working Conditions:

  • This role requires occasional travel to data center sites across multiple regions (up to 50% to 75% travel)
  • Ability to work in both office environments and active construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols


Expected Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 Salary + Discretionary Bonus


Location:
Denver, CO, Austin, TX, Seattle, WA, Nevada, or Northern Virginia. Remote may also be considered.
