Position Overview:
The VP, Enterprise Solutions & Business Alignment serves as the strategic liaison between assigned Lines of Business (LOBs) and the Corporate IT organization. This role ensures business strategies and priorities are translated into technology initiatives that align with enterprise architecture, drive innovation, and deliver measurable value. The person combines strong business acumen with deep enterprise architecture fluency and solution consulting expertise to guide LOB leaders toward technology decisions that maximize agility, scalability, and ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Engagement
· Partner with LOB executives to understand business goals, pain points, and emerging opportunities.
· Align business priorities with Shared IT roadmaps, standards, and enterprise architecture principles.
· Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring IT is positioned as an enabler of growth and innovation.
Enterprise Architecture Fluency
· Bridge business needs with enterprise technology strategies, ensuring consistency with corporate architecture frameworks.
· Evaluate solution options against architectural standards (e.g., cloud platforms, integration layers, data governance).
· Challenge and guide business stakeholders on long-term architectural implications of technology choices.
Solution Consulting
· Lead early-stage solution shaping and consulting, framing high-level architecture, scope, and options before handing off to solution delivery teams.
· Facilitate build-vs-buy analyses, vendor evaluations, and proof-of-concept efforts.
· Translate complex technology considerations into clear business terms for decision-makers.
Demand & Portfolio Management
· Serve as the intake point for LOB IT requests, facilitating prioritization in line with enterprise governance.
· Build and maintain a portfolio view of all IT initiatives supporting the LOB.
· Ensure value realization tracking post-deployment.
Communication & Change Leadership
· Act as the voice of the LOB within Shared IT and the voice of IT within the LOB.
· Provide clear, consistent communication on IT strategy, initiative status, risks, and service performance.
· Support organizational change management for technology-driven transformations.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
· 10+ years of IT/business experience, including at least 5 years in IT business partnering, solution consulting, or enterprise architecture.
· Experience in multinational or matrixed organizations strongly preferred.
Technical & Business Competencies
· Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent).
· Deep familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), SaaS ecosystems, and integration architectures.
· Proven ability to lead solution consulting engagements (business case, vendor assessment, high-level design).
· Understanding of data architecture, security, compliance, and interoperability considerations.
· Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into IT roadmaps and actionable initiatives.
Core Skills
· Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills at executive and operational levels.
· Strong consultative and facilitation abilities, balancing business needs with IT constraints.
· Ability to operate in ambiguity and bridge global/cross-LOB priorities.
· Proven track record of driving measurable business value from technology investments
Preferred Skills:
· Telecommunications Engineering or Operations experience is a plus
· Understanding of ERP, CRM and OSS systems preferred; Salesforce experience is a plus
· Large, complex program management experience
· Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
· Process Architecture, UML or similar business process modeling
· Experience with RUP and BPM tools (Rational Rose, Tibco Business, ARIS, use case, data models, etc.)
Expected Salary Range: Total Compensation $125,000 to $175,000 (Base + Annual Bonus)
