The Role
The Director of Sales will own revenue growth across strategic geographies, with a strong focus on:
- Startup & scaleup AI native customers
- Landing strategic lighthouse accounts
- Building CSP, Neocloud and enterprise channel relationships
- Scaling usage-based GPUaaS revenue
This is a builder role — you will both close deals directly and design the repeatable sales engine.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Ownership & Execution
- Drive ongoing revenue targets (initial focus: startup/scaleup and strategic CSP deals)
- Close 6–7+ deals per quarter in early-stage segments
- Secure recurring usage contracts
- Convert platform recurring users into paying customers
- Own pipeline from outbound to close
2. Segment Strategy
Build and scale tailored sales motions for:
- Startups & Scaleups – converting from usage-based GPUaaS to managed SaaS
- Developer ecosystem
- CSP / NeoCloud / AI Factory players – white-label Cloud Foundry offerings
- Enterprise AI teams
You will prioritize high-velocity startup deals while developing 1–2 high-value CSP opportunities.
3. Strategic Account Development
- Close and expand strategic accounts (e.g., AI research orgs, GPU-intensive startups)
- Build relationships with AI infra buyers (CTO, Head of AI, Head of Infrastructure)
- Structure usage-based and license-based contracts aligned with FlexAI pricing models
4. GTM & Marketing Collaboration
- Partner on campaigns (Lemlist, AI outbound tools, events)
- Leverage events (e.g., GTC and major AI conferences) for pipeline acceleration
- Help shape messaging for FlexAI Cloud, Compute, and Cloud Foundry
5. Build the Sales Engine
- Establish sales process, qualification framework, and forecasting discipline
- Define pricing guardrails for usage-based GPUaaS deals
- Implement CRM rigor and reporting
- Hire and mentor 1–3 AEs, Solution Architects, BDRs as pipeline scales
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience:
- 8+ years in B2B tech sales
- 3–5+ years selling cloud infrastructure, GPU compute, AI platforms, or DevOps tooling
- Experience closing:
- Usage-based SaaS deals
- Cloud infrastructure contracts
- Enterprise or CSP partnerships
- Prior experience working at a Series A/B startup highly preferred
Domain Fit:
You understand:
- GPUaaS and AI compute economics
- Kubernetes / VM / SLRM based cloud infra buyers
- Startup and scaleup buying behavior
- How to sell into AI-native companies
Traits:

- Comfortable selling technically complex infrastructure

The pay range for this role is:
150,000 - 200,000 USD per year (US San Francisco Bay Area)
