Job Summary

Flighthouse is seeking a creative and self-driven Music Marketing Intern to join our team. This internship will allow candidates to work closely with marketing leads to support digital campaigns, brainstorm viral content ideas, and help execute strategies that boost engagement and visibility for our artists.


This is an unpaid, part-time internship designed for current students receiving college credit. Interns must be eligible to work in the U.S. and available for 20–25 hours per week over a 3–4 month term.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Brainstorm and pitch engaging short-form content ideas tailored to each artist’s brand and voice
  • Research social media trends, memes, and platform-specific content strategies
  • Help edit, schedule, and post content on music artist social media accounts and fanpages
  • Coordinate outreach with influencers, blogs, and music tastemakers
  • Support paid media leads in setting up advertisements on Google, Meta, TikTok, and Spotify
  • Track campaign performance and engagement metrics to optimize strategy


Qualifications 

  • Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, and receive credit for this internship
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Passionate about music and is up to date with trends and new genres in the music industry
  • Familiar with short-form platforms such as Reels, TikTok, and YT Shorts and their content formats 
  • A creative thinker who’s not afraid to pitch bold, new ideas
  • Works well in a team environment and can communicate effectively with peers
  • Detail-oriented and organized when handling multiple tasks and campaigns
  • Hungry to get their foot in the door of the music industry and learn a variety of skills within the music marketing umbrella

Other desirable skills/experience:

  • Background in music industry roles or internships
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or content creation
  • Are currently enrolled in a relevant educational program (Marketing, Communications, Music Business, etc.)

Program Details

  • Start Date: Flexible based on academic calendar 
  • Length: 3–4 months
  • Schedule: In office 2-3 days per week
  • Compensation: Unpaid, for academic or program credit only
  • Reporting To: Senior Marketing Specialist
