Job Summary
Flighthouse is looking to hire a culturally fluent Content Specialist to manage and grow a portfolio of pop-culture and relationship-driven social media pages. In this role, you’ll create and publish content centered around internet trends, celebrity moments, relationship memes, and love quotes, often using this content to organically promote music and entertainment releases.
This role is ideal for someone who is chronically online, understands how relationship content performs across platforms, and knows how to turn emotional, relatable moments into highly shareable posts. You should have a strong feel for internet language, meme timing, and pop-culture cycles, and be excited about blending storytelling, relationships, and music into daily content.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily publishing for assigned pop-culture and relationship-focused social media pages.
- Develop and maintain content calendars rooted in internet trends, relationship dynamics, and cultural moments.
- Ensure a consistent posting cadence while maintaining quality, relevance, and authenticity.
- Create and curate relationship memes, love quotes, pop-culture posts, and trend-driven content that resonates emotionally and socially.
- Adapt internet trends and formats into content that feels native to relationship and pop-culture audiences.
- Execute content that seamlessly integrates music promotion in a way that feels organic and audience-first.
- Support social-first campaigns by translating briefs into relationship-driven or pop-culture content.
- Help promote music releases through emotionally resonant storytelling, captions, and visual formats.
- Ensure all branded or promotional content aligns with platform best practices and audience expectations.
- Monitor performance across pages and adjust creative strategy based on engagement and growth insights.
- Engage with followers through comments and DMs when appropriate to build trust and community.
- Stay on top of platform updates, trending relationship conversations, and evolving meme formats.
- Track engagement, reach, and follower growth across assigned pages.
- Test different formats, captions, posting times, and creative approaches to optimize performance.
- Share learnings and insights with the broader team to help refine content strategy.

Qualifications
- Prior experience managing or assisting with social media accounts is preferred; this may include internships, freelance work, managing personal or theme pages, or running accounts for organizations or brands.
- Strong understanding of pop culture, relationship content, and meme-driven internet behavior.
- Ability to create emotionally resonant, shareable content that performs well across platforms.
- Comfortable using tools such as Canva, CapCut, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Interest in music, entertainment, and social storytelling is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Pay Scale
- $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
- The final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
