About Fluid2Chip
Founded on decades of experience in the data center industry, Fluid2Chip was established to bridge the gap in traditional construction teams' expertise with the shift to high-density liquid cooling. Our mission is to ensure the successful startup and optimization of these systems, providing expert technical services that ensure reliable operation from day one.
The Role
Fluid2Chip is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager to own and execute the delivery of advanced liquid cooling and Technology Cooling Systems (TCS) for hyperscale and mission‑critical data centers. This role is fundamentally a hands‑on technical project management position, with principal‑level ownership across multiple, fast‑moving project sites.
This is not a traditional or administrative project management role. The ideal candidate has direct, hands‑on experience in data center environments and deep technical expertise in liquid cooling, water treatment, or complex fluid systems. You are comfortable in the field, able to hold your own with engineers and contractors, and capable of turning real‑time technical challenges into clear execution plans.
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will personally drive project execution from early engagement through commissioning and turnover, while also providing the structure, discipline, and visibility needed to keep multiple sites moving forward in parallel. You will serve as the execution lead and technical authority, working directly with clients, field teams, OEMs, and partners to ensure systems are delivered safely, correctly, and on schedule.
What You'll Do
Project Execution & Field Leadership
- Lead execution of data center liquid cooling and TCS projects from early engagement through commissioning and handover
- Provide hands‑on, on‑site oversight during critical construction, installation, startup, and commissioning phases
- Coordinate and direct activities across engineers, field technicians, contractors, OEMs, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure projects meet schedule, budget, quality, and technical performance requirements
Technical Ownership
- Act as the technical authority for liquid cooling systems during delivery and commissioning
- Translate technical issues related to water chemistry, system cleanliness, readiness, and controls integration into project risks, impacts, and execution plans
- Track commissioning readiness, testing requirements, acceptance criteria, and punch‑list items across sites
- Support field teams during key milestones and issue resolution
Client Partnership
- Serve as the primary client point of contact throughout execution
- Guide clients through technical decisions, milestones, and tradeoffs
- Build trusted, long‑term client relationships while managing expectations and driving outcomes
Operational Discipline
- Maintain detailed project schedules, scopes, dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
- Establish and maintain KPIs, reporting cadence, and delivery metrics to provide clear visibility across projects
- Proactively identify execution risks, operational barriers, and change impacts and drive resolution
- Ensure high‑quality project documentation and reporting
Mentorship & Standards
- Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and technical team members
- Help define and improve delivery standards, best practices, and execution playbooks
- Support the development of scalable delivery processes as the organization grows
