Job Description & Responsibilities:
We are seeking a part-time General Surgery Resident who will contribute to the dynamic landscape of our company’s growth. In this role, you will be a vital part of our team, working closely with our clinical, data, and dev teams to continuously refine and innovate our product offerings. Your role will involve the following key tasks:
- Collaborating closely with our data team to add clinical knowledge/context and insights to guide the development and refinement of AI algorithms that can allow for the prediction of patient outcomes and potential complications after GI surgery.
- Provide support through chart review to enhance understanding of patient outcomes, medical coding, and the prevalence of specific outcomes.
- Support in establishing guidelines for utilizing early prediction tools to facilitate earlier intervention and improve patient outcomes.
- Assist in defining user workflows to determine the optimal way to integrate the developed solution in healthcare settings, ensuring user satisfaction and maximizing value in clinical settings.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine. Resident Physician in one or more of the following surgeries: general surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, colorectal surgery, esophageal surgery, or bariatric surgery.
- 1-2 years post internship experience.
- Expert knowledge of general surgery procedures.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to guide and teach others.
