About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to support our financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values accuracy, and is looking for a flexible schedule. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting reporting and analysis efforts.

What You'll Do

  • Perform day-to-day accounting tasks including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
  • Help streamline accounting processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Contribute to audit preparation and regulatory reporting as needed.

Work Environment

  • Your Schedule: This is a part-time role with at least 20 hours per week. Some flexibility may be available depending on team needs.
  • Where You'll Be: This position allows for a hybrid schedule, with a mix of remote work and in-person collaboration at our El Segundo office. We value the flexibility of working from home while recognizing the energy and connection that come from being together in person. You'll typically be onsite for key meetings, team sessions, or hands-on work with no more than 20 hours a week total.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, working in a start up environment a plus
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations (GAAP)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

The pay range for this role is:

35 - 55 USD per hour (El Segundo)
