Digital Project Manager

Position Overview

Folklore is seeking a Digital Project Manager/Producer to lead the delivery of exceptional digital experiences and solutions. This role combines strategic project management expertise with technical insight to ensure successful execution and delivery of multiple projects and services.

As a project leader, you’ll collaborate with developers, designers, strategists, and clients to bring digital initiatives to life. You’ll be responsible for managing project scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and risk, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

This role requires in-person work at our St. Louis Park office at least two days a week.

Key Responsibilities

Project and Team Leadership

  • Collaborate with practice leads and cross-functional teams to deliver digital experiences from concept to completion.
  • Oversee and guide project teams that include Folklore staff, contractors, and global agency partners.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, technical roadmaps, and delivery schedules
  • Manage project budgets and provide clear updates on financial health and forecasts.
  • Monitor project scope and proactively initiate change orders when required.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies.
  • Proactively monitoring and reporting on all aspects of project health, escalating as necessary to project and account leadership
  • Facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Support technical decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Support resource allocation and capacity planning activities

Quality Assurance

  • Participate in quality assurance efforts, ensuring all deliverables meet the highest standards.
  • Review and interpret technical specifications and architecture documents.
  • Coordinate code deployments and oversee release management.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical and business requirements.
  • Uphold adherence to technical standards and best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams and projects.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience managing the development of websites, mobile apps, or other digital experiences.
  • Proficiency in agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Solid understanding of modern web development practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Proven ability to translate business goals into clear technical requirements.
  • Experience with quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to simplify technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Preferred

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certifications.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, QA automation, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and their service offerings
  • Experience with capacity planning and resource management activities
  • Experience building project reports and dashboards for internal leadership and clients

The pay range for this role is:
100,000.00- 110,000.00 USD Per Year
