Billing Specialist

We run every aspect of a club including the restaurant, the reservation system, the pro shop, and retail store, their marketing, CRM, and member billing. The Billing Specialist is a professional who is responsible for a variety of financial and non-financial tasks to help guarantee the company’s revenues. They will handle the processing of incoming payments along with the issuing of necessary paperwork. They work closely with customers and company personnel to create invoices and check calculations on billing statements so there are no errors in payment procedures.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: 

  • Communicate and answer questions with customers.
  • Help manage accounting software and other tools. 
  • Ensuring timely and accurate collection of invoices 
  • Assume the responsibility of receiving and sorting incoming payments with attention to credibility.
  • Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies.
  • Issue and post bills, receipts and invoices.
  • Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments.
  • Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines.
  • Provide solutions to any relative problems of clients.
  • Assist in other accounting functions as needed. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • 1+ years of experience in the accounting field (preferred but not required).
  • Strong computer skills. 
  • Proficient in Excel. 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Detail-oriented and results driven. 
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. 
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills. 
  • Good time-management skills.
