About the role


We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Planner to join our Supply Chain team. This role is critical to ensuring our Hardware Integration and engineering teams have the materials they need, when they need them. The Supply Planner will use NetSuite ERP to translate forecast demand into supply plans, define and manage item-level planning parameters, and provide clear-to-build visibility to internal stakeholders. This position requires close coordination with procurement, engineering, and program teams to ensure planning processes are aligned with Forterra’s production roadmap.


What you'll do

  • Utilize NetSuite ERP to create and manage supply plans based on demand forecasts, lead times, an inventory goals.
  • Define and maintain planning attributes such as lead times, reorder points, and safety stock levels.
  • Generate and communicate clear-to-build dates based on current inventory, component availability, an production schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement and Engineering teams to track long-lead or critical components.
  • Monitor material status and supply plan performance, proactively addressing any gaps or disruptions.
  • Support program timelines by ensuring supply alignment with key build milestones.
  • Provide actionable planning insights and data to inform cross-functional decision-making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and ERP system usage.

Qualifications

  • Experience using ERP for planning and inventory control.
  • Strong understanding of planning principles, including MRP, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and planning tools.
  • Able to confidently identify issues and influence others, and resilient enough to handle constant change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in high-tech, robotics, or aerospace/defense industries.
  • Familiarity with engineering BOMs and complex assembly planning.
  • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent preferred.
  • Exposure to fast-paced R&D and prototyping environments.
  • Experience using Netsuite.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply planning, production planning, or materials management.


US Salary Range
 $120,000—$145,000


Location:
Clarksburg, MD - Full-Time In-Office w/ Flexibility
Up to 10% travel may be required


 

The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more. Equity in Forterra is included in most of our full-time, high-demand roles and is therefore considered part of Forterra’s overall compensation package.
