About the role

The Manager, Product Marketing role demands a blend of strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and strong communication skills. The Manager, Product Marketing is the glue binding our product strategy to tactics we need to drive success in Sales and Marketing.  An attention to detail and eye for quality are critical to your success, along with an ability to grasp and present our products’ value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers’ problems. You use that knowledge to develop positioning, messaging, and content that resonates with our current and future clients and moves them through the buyer’s journey in partnership with Sales.

What you'll do

  • RESPONSIBILITIES: 
    • Lead developing, implementing, and tracking marketing programs that include defining target audiences, product positioning and requirements, points of differentiation, and messaging for Foundant’s products. 
    • Lead in developing and executing marketing plans that include demand generation, content, partnerships and events, and other marketing tactics. 
    • Collaborate with other internal teams across Marketing, Product, Sales, Client Success, and beyond to monitor and execute marketing initiatives. 
    • Collect, analyze, and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns and product and feature launches. 
    • Conduct market and competitive research and analyze to identify customer trends, competitor offers, and other new opportunities to facilitate strategic decision-making in product marketing. 
    • Lead the creation of marketing assets and programs (articles, white papers, webinars, testimonials, etc.) and sales enablement tools (email nurtures, pitch decks, one-pagers, battle cards, etc.) that generate demand and help move prospects and customers through the sales funnel. 
    • Lead partner to Sales for managing all sales enablement needs to drive conversion through the sales funnel, including messaging guidance and boilerplates, email template creation for outbound sales efforts, and consultation on targeted list pulls.
    • Lead development of win/loss analysis.
    • Provide leadership and direction for Product Marketing Specialist.

Qualifications

  • REQUIRED SKILLS:
    • 3-5 years of product marketing experience.
    • Familiar with marketing automation and measurement tools such as Marketo, Bizible, and Google Analytics.
    • Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working.
    • Ability to prioritize effectively, ensuring the right work gets done at the right time.
    • Ability to distill complex features and functionality into digestible messaging hierarchy.
    • Strong project management skills, ability to move projects forward according to timelines and proactively communicating barriers and making recommendations to drive projects to complete.
    • Ability to use the data to “story-tell” in a compelling manner to drive understanding of what is needed to drive growth. Must be a strong writer of both internal and external content.
    • Proven track record of bringing stakeholders and partners along with new ideas and changes to the current state.  
    • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties. Must be able to collaborate with multiple stakeholders including Marketing, Product Management, Sales, and Client Success.
    • Experience developing and managing budgets.  
    • SaaS marketing experience required. 
    • Experience working with software used by the philanthropic and nonprofit sector, for example Submittable, Instrumentl, AkokyaGo, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, Blackbaud is preferred.
    • Experience working with/in the philanthropic sector is preferred.
