A Little Bit About The Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the design vision and strategy within our team. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and leadership skills to deliver impactful user experiences. You will lead design initiatives, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive innovation that aligns with business objectives while championing a user-centric approach. You will mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of design excellence.

What You Will Be Doing

Design Leadership:

• Define and execute design strategies that enhance usability, visual appeal, and functionality.
• Lead end-to-end design processes, from discovery and ideation to prototyping and final execution.
• Conduct and oversee user research, usability testing, and feedback integration.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design efforts with business goals.
• Facilitate workshops and design reviews to gather feedback and ensure stakeholder alignment.
• Advocate for user-centric design principles across the organization.

Mentorship and Growth:

• Mentor junior designers and researchers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
• Provide constructive feedback during design critiques and help refine design processes.

Innovation and Strategy:

• Stay updated with industry trends and implement best practices in UX/UI design.
• Explore and integrate emerging tools, techniques, and frameworks to advance our design capabilities.

What you will need to be great in this role

Experience & Expertise:

• 7-10 years of professional experience in UX/UI design, product design, or a related field.
• Mastery of design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions for web and mobile platforms.
• Deep understanding of user research methodologies, visual design principles, and accessibility standards.

Skills:

• Exceptional ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Strong storytelling and communication skills to present ideas effectively to various audiences.
• Strategic thinking to align design efforts with overarching business and user needs.

Leadership:

• Demonstrated ability to lead design projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience mentoring and growing design talent within a team.

Portfolio Requirements:

• A well-curated portfolio showcasing your expertise in solving complex user problems through intuitive and impactful design solutions.
• Examples of end-to-end design processes, highlighting your role in research, ideation, prototyping, and final execution.

Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):

• UX certifications (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, Interaction Design Foundation).
• Design thinking certifications (e.g., IDEO, LUMA Institute).
• Agile or Scrum certifications for working effectively in agile product development environments.

NOTE: This role is ideal for a designer passionate about creating meaningful and innovative user experiences while leading a dynamic team to achieve excellence in design.

Qualifications
