Senior Engineering Manager

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Engineering Manager at Fountane, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a talented team of engineers. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions, collaborating with clients to understand their unique requirements, and driving innovation within the team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Lead, inspire, and mentor a team of engineers to achieve project goals and foster professional growth.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring timely and successful delivery of engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, provide regular updates, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality products and services.
• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Effectively allocate resources, manage workloads, and ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and support to excel in their roles.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize resource utilization across projects.
• You will take on a cross-functional role, collaborating across multiple engineering projects
• You will be responsible for driving both the project’s and individuals' growth trajectories, ensuring continuous development and success.
• You will also be accountable for the quality of project deliverables.
• You will oversee the practice of reviewing and sharing key learnings and growth from projects, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE GREAT IN THIS ROLE:

• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with expertise in engineering practices, software development methodologies, and a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Client-Focused: Demonstrated ability to understand client needs, communicate effectively, and build lasting relationships that contribute to client satisfaction and project success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as an engineer
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role
• Experience in leading and managing a team of engineers
• Experience in developing and delivering high-quality software products
• Expertise in agile software development methodologies
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience with cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
