Overview


The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations to ensure the efficient delivery of projects, products, and services across the organization. This role leads operational teams, manages resources, improves business processes, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality expectations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Operations Manager supports strategic initiatives, drives operational performance, and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills, financial awareness, and a commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and achieving organizational goals.

 

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficient execution of business processes and service delivery.
  • Lead and develop Mitigation Project Managers, and Technicians.
  • Develop, document and implement SOPs, workflows and processes for the mitigation department, then measure and continuously improve them.
  • Coordinate resources, scheduling, and workflow planning to meet operational and customer requirements.
  • Manage operational budgets, forecasts, resource allocation, and cost-control initiatives to achieve financial targets.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation within company systems.
  • Ensure safety is embedded in all improvement efforts, including risk assessments and corrective action planning.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Construction Management, or a related field; experience can be used in lieu in education.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in operations, business performance, or continuous improvement roles.
    • 2+ years working in a leadership role.
    • Strong background in workplace safety or safety leadership; restoration, mitigation, mold remediation, or industrial services experience a plus.
    • Proven ability to develop and execute operational strategies that improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
    • Experience implementing enterprise-wide process improvements, operational excellence initiatives, and organizational change.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Strong understanding of project management principles, operational risk management, and organizational change.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strategic focus in a fast-paced environment.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
