  • Perform primary research, including meetings with company management teams, sell-side analysts, industry experts, and technology ecosystem participants
  • Prepare clear, concise internal research reports and investment memoranda

Idea Generation & Portfolio Support

  • Track and communicate key technology sector themes, structural shifts, and emerging trends to portfolio managers and senior investment leadership
  • Identify themes and opportunities not currently reflected in the portfolio
  • Support portfolio construction and monitoring through ongoing coverage of holdings, earnings analysis, and thesis updates

Quantitative & Thematic Analysis

  • Utilize and enhance internal quantitative tools and proprietary reports to identify potentially attractive investment opportunities
  • Produce targeted reports or analytical frameworks to help the team focus on areas of market dislocation and potential outperformance
  • Maintain and develop proprietary databases tracking company fundamentals, sector metrics, and thematic research

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Work closely with portfolio managers and other analysts in a team-oriented, idea-driven environment
  • Assist in coordinating coverage responsibilities across the technology sector and supporting timely execution of research priorities
  • Demonstrate increasing ownership of coverage and decision-making responsibility, with a clear path toward expanded leadership and Co‑PM responsibilities over time

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, science, or a related field
  • MBA and/or CFA designation preferred but not required
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above required in a 4.0 scale
  • 6–10+ years of buyside investment experience, with meaningful ownership of fundamental equity research and idea generation
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a long/short equity investing environment, with demonstrated accountability for positioning, risk assessment, and portfolio impact
  • Broad technology generalist coverage experience required, with proven comfort underwriting both software and hardware‑oriented business models
  • Ability to operate independently with limited training, and the capacity to grow into expanded responsibility, including potential Technology sleeve Co‑PM responsibilities over time
  • Proven ability to independently develop, articulate, and defend differentiated long and short investment theses
  • Strong understanding of companies with the potential to disrupt, scale, and compound value within their industries

Skills:

  • Advanced fundamental research and analytical skills, including financial modeling, valuation, and industry analysis
  • Ability to evaluate a wide range of technology business models, including cyclical, secular growth, and platform-based companies
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative judgment, with a disciplined approach to risk assessment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex investment ideas
  • High level of self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, and strong work ethic
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven, team-oriented investment environment
