Position Overview:

The Logistics Staff position supports daily logistics operations within a federally contracted ICE residential facility in Alexandria, LA. This role assists with receiving, storage, inventory control, distribution of supplies, and internal movement of materials to support facility operations.

 Working under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor, Logistics Staff ensure that supplies, equipment, and operational materials are properly handled, organized, tracked, and delivered throughout the facility in a timely and accurate manner.

 This position operates in a 24/7 facility environment and requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to perform physical and operational tasks in a fast-paced setting.


Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Logistics Operations Support

  • Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming supplies and materials.
  • Support storage, staging, and distribution of supplies, equipment, and operational materials.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked warehouse and storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment activities.

 Inventory & Distribution Support

  • Help track inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing supplies for distribution throughout the facility.
  • Support accurate labeling, sorting, and storage of materials.
  • Document basic inventory and movement activities as directed.

 Internal Movement & Delivery

  • Transport supplies and materials within the facility as assigned.
  • Deliver items to designated departments, units, or storage areas.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
  • Support timely movement of supplies to meet operational needs.

 Equipment & Facility Support

  • Use carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely as trained.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of logistics work areas.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages to supervisor.
  • Follow all safety procedures when handling materials and equipment.

 Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with Logistics Supervisor and team members to complete daily tasks.
  • Communicate supply needs, delays, or issues promptly.
  • Participate in shift briefings and daily work assignments.
  • Support coordination with other facility departments as needed.

 Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all facility safety protocols and operational procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of all materials.
  • Maintain compliance with federal contract and facility requirements.
  • Support a safe, clean, and organized logistics environment.


Required Qualifications & Core Competencies:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, facilities support, or related work preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to pass required federal background clearance.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
  • Ability to safely operate facility vehicles and transport materials as assigned.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or institutional environments.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems or tracking tools.
  • Experience in residential, shelter, healthcare, or government-contracted environments.
  • Forklift or warehouse equipment experience (preferred but not required).
  • Bilingual ability (Spanish or other commonly encountered languages) preferred.
  • Training in safety practices or warehouse operations.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Employees must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of the following screening:
    • Federal background investigation (up to and including a Tier 4 DHS clearance)
    • Criminal history check
    • Verification of employment and education history
    • Compliance with all government credentialing requirements
    • Drug Screening
  • Employees must adhere to all federal security, confidentiality, and operational protocols while working within government facilities.
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
  • Anovaeon operates 24 hours/365 days and requires the flexibility to work additional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
  • If applicable, Child Abuse/ Neglect Report (CAN) or child protective services check with no adverse findings.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a large facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to work in warehouse and indoor/outdoor operational environments.
  • Ability to respond quickly during operational or emergency situations.

Work Environment:

  • Fully onsite position in a federally contracted ICE residential facility in Alexandria, LA.
  • Fast-paced operational environment including warehouse, storage, receiving, and distribution areas.
  • 24/7 operational setting requiring flexibility across all shifts.
  • Frequent coordination with multiple operational departments.
  • Requires professionalism, adaptability, and strong organizational skills.
