As an Inside Student Recruiter at Arclabs Welding School, your role is to connect individuals—primarily adult learners and non-traditional students—with hands-on career training in the welding industry. You'll play a vital part in helping people take the next step toward a rewarding career by guiding them through the admissions process with empathy, professionalism, and a strong understanding of our programs.

Inside recruiters work primarily from campus and focus on enrolling individuals who are not current-year high school graduates, including working adults, career changers, veterans, and those seeking a second chance at a skilled trade career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for adult and non-traditional prospective students.
  • Conduct phone calls, campus tours, and admissions interviews to evaluate applicants' interests and explain Arclabs’ program offerings.
  • Guide prospective students through the enrollment process—including application steps, financial aid referrals, and preparation for start dates.
  • Follow up with prospective students via phone, text, email, and in-person meetings to maintain engagement and encourage enrollment.
  • Represent Arclabs at job fairs, workforce development meetings, and adult education outreach events when needed.
  • Coordinate appointments and referrals with SC Works, Adult Education Centers, Veterans Affairs, and similar community agencies.
  • Assist the Campus Director in preparing for and scheduling outreach events and meetings with external partners.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the CRM system and provide weekly reports on leads, conversions, and outreach activities.
  • Uphold ethical recruiting standards and comply with ACCET accreditation and Arclabs policies.
  • Meet or exceed individual enrollment targets and contribute to campus enrollment goals.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service, admissions, sales, or outreach roles.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations, especially adult learners seeking career transition.
  • Comfortable presenting to individuals or small groups in a professional setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); CRM experience is a plus.
  • Energetic, organized, and goal-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • Must be able to work occasional evening or weekend hours for events or student meetings.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
