Transforming The Way Construction Owners Use Technology & Data

If you enjoy supporting large-scale construction and infrastructure programs, solving inventory and material challenges, working with data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, this is the role for you. Avicado Construction Technology Services is seeking an Equipment Inventory Support Specialist to support one of our hyperscale data center clients. In this role, you will be responsible for inventory tracking, equipment coordination, material control processes, reporting support, data quality reviews, and fulfillment gap management across multiple campuses and projects. This is an individual contributor role ideal for candidates with experience supporting manufacturing operations, warehouse operations, inventory management, supply chain activities, equipment logistics, or material control programs.

What you’ll do…   

  • Equipment Inventory & Material Controls 
    • Support equipment inventory management and material control activities across multiple campuses and projects. 
    • Monitor equipment availability, inventory levels, and fulfillment status. 
    • Execute inventory rebalancing activities, including material moves and inventory reclassification. 
    • Assist with material ordering activities and review equipment shortages or fulfillment gaps. 
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and support alignment between equipment demand signals and available inventory. 
    • Track equipment-related variances, delays, and inventory discrepancies. 
  • Reporting & Data Quality 
    • Perform routine data quality (DQ) reviews and validation activities across systems of record. 
    • Investigate and resolve inventory and equipment data discrepancies. 
    • Support business intelligence reporting and dashboard maintenance. 
    • Monitor reporting health and assist with automated and manual reporting processes. 
    • Maintain accurate project and inventory data to support operational decision-making. 
    • Utilize internal AI-enabled tools to support reporting, data validation, and process improvements.   
  • Operational Support 
    • Support Fulfillment Gap Business Response activities and inventory action plans. 
    • Coordinate with procurement, planning, logistics, warehouse, and project teams to support equipment readiness. 
    • Assist with demand planning activities and inventory forecasting support. 
    • Escalate inventory risks, shortages, and data issues to appropriate stakeholders. 
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. 
  • Documentation & Process Support 
    • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and knowledge base articles. 
    • Support development and maintenance of training materials. 
    • Document inventory processes, reporting procedures, and operational workflows. 
    • Capture meeting notes, action items, and follow-up activities. 

You should have 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. 
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, equipment operations, or material controls. 
  • Experience supporting inventory tracking and equipment management processes. 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking systems. 
  • Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
