About the role
What you'll do
• Install, inspect, service, and repair HVAC units, mini-split systems, exhaust fans, and ventilation equipment at cell site shelters,
cabinets, and equipment rooms
• Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) inspections on schedule set by carrier and client requirements
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant system issues in the field
• Respond to emergency service calls and after-hours dispatch for critical high-temperature alarm conditions
• Read and interpret site drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics
• Complete detailed service reports, work orders, and compliance documentation via tablet or CMMS software
• Coordinate site access with tower owners, landlords, and carrier representatives
• Maintain accurate inventory of parts, refrigerant, and tools; order replacement parts as needed
• Follow OSHA, EPA (Section 608), and company safety protocols at all times
• Work safely near active RF (radio frequency) transmission equipment, following RF exposure safety guidelines
Qualifications
• 1 year of HVAC installation and repair experience preferred; telecom or commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Comfortable working in and around cell tower compounds, confined equipment shelters, and elevated platforms
• Basic electrical troubleshooting skills (multimeter use, low-voltage and DC power systems)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable and willing to travel regionally between sites
