About the role

This role supports Christ Covenant's Pastor of Families and Care by managing member care systems, benevolence requests, while coordinating elder and deacon development and communication. It also provides direct administrative and project support to the Pastor, keeping ministry priorities, meetings, and initiatives on track.


What you'll do

Member Care

  • Help create and manage systems and platforms, and oversee all processes for member care.
  • Track member care needs and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Monitor the care email and keep records of incoming care requests.
  • Collaborate with Member Engagement Team (MET) Leads to coordinate trainings, communication, and recruitment for the team.
  • Serve as the staff contact for the Member Engagement Team Benevolence Committee, managing benevolence requests, communicating with requesters, presenting cases, preparing payments and documentation, and ensuring follow-up.
  • Serve as a warm, responsive point of contact for member care needs, including calls, emails, and personal follow-up.
  • Oversee the Private Care List in partnership with elders, and facilitate semimonthly check-in meetings with the Care Team.

Coordination of Elders and Deacons

  • Coordinate the development and training of elders and deacons.
  • Support and manage the deacon ministry with the Deacon Chair and leadership team, including weekly meeting preparation and hosting.
  • Gather and provide elders with measurable data to identify members who need support.
  • Coordinate with the Assimilation Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the Executive Pastor to deliver relevant data to elders for meaningful member engagement.
  • Assist the Pastor of Families and Care with elder and deacon communication.

Administrative

  • Provide logistical and organizational support for family ministry and member care initiatives, such as Aspiring Elders/Elder Development, the Benevolence Policy, support documents, and Parent Orientation.
  • Oversee the coordination of the Praying Ministry and collaborate with the Communications team to manage and maintain the Praying Ministry webpage.

Assist Pastor of Families and Care

  • Manage the Pastor of Families and Care's calendar, including meetings, appointments, and ministry events.
  • Assist with project planning and tracking to ensure timely completion of ministry goals.
  • Assist in setting and managing priorities with the Pastor of Families and Care.
  • Prepare agendas, notes, and follow-up action items for key meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s (B.A.)
  • 3-4 years of administrative experience
  • Demonstrates spiritual maturity and character consistent with the values of Christ Covenant.
