We deliver in-person intensive outpatient therapy (IOP) to communities that have historically been underserved in behavioral health care. ComoCare partners with federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) to provide integrated behavioral health care where the patient receives whole-person care in one setting Our team uses proven, evidence-based approaches to help individuals facing challenges such as substance use, mood disorders, and trauma — all in partnership with the trusted local health centers that know their patients best.

Role Description

As Clinical Director at ComoCare, you will lead the delivery of our behavioral health programs within community health centers, ensuring exceptional clinical care and strong partnerships with our FQHC partners. You’ll oversee our on-the-ground care team — including therapists, care coordinators, and community liaisons — and support partner providers to drive referrals, program adoption, and clinical outcomes.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Lead ComoCare’s clinical operations across assigned community health centers, ensuring quality, consistency, and strong outcomes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for FQHC partners, maintaining trusted relationships with leadership and clinical teams
  • Manage and support a multidisciplinary care team, including therapists, community liaisons, case managers, and community health workers, etc.
  • Own P&L for FQHC(s) under management
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and clinical oversight for clinical team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Collaborate with ComoCare’s leadership team to inform program strategy, workflow design, and operational improvements
  • Communicate and partner with the patient’s FQHC care team, including but not limited to the patient’s primary care provider and existing behavioral health clinician, to ensure each patient receives the appropriate care and resources
  • Support patient referrals and program participation through proactive partnership management
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including referral volume, program census, patient retention, provider satisfaction (NPS), and employee engagement (NPS)
  • Represent ComoCare in the field, fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and innovation alongside community partners

 

Reporting: This role will report to the SVP, Clinical Operations

 

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed behavioral health clinician (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LCPC, or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of experience in behavioral health or integrated care, including leadership responsibility in care delivery organizations
  • Proven success managing clinician relationships and driving referrals or program growth
  • Experience managing and developing multidisciplinary clinical teams
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams for behavioral health patients
  • Strong understanding of community health center operations and value-based care models
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to balance clinical quality and operational performance
  • Comfortable working in field-based, in-person settings across assigned markets

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience leading market-level operations within behavioral health or primary care
  • Familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and safety-net systems
  • Strong background in outcomes-driven or value-based behavioral health models
  • Experience with performance metrics such as referral conversion, retention, and NPS
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, mission-driven environments with evolving priorities
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
