Growth Engineer

About Comp AI

Most companies still do compliance by hand: manual evidence collection, copy-pasted policies, audit prep that pulls engineers off the roadmap. Comp AI rebuilds that stack with AI agents that handle the busywork. We're an AI-native compliance and security platform. We launched in April 2025 and crossed millions in ARR with a lean team in under a year. Our AI agents collect evidence, draft and maintain policies, map controls, prep for audits, and continuously monitor posture against SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR, and the frameworks our customers need next. Compliance is the wedge, not the ceiling. We're building toward continuous, AI-driven cybersecurity that is always on and improves the longer a customer uses it. We move fast and hold a high bar. The team is small enough that each person's work shows up directly in the product and the pace.

About the Role

We're hiring a Growth Engineer to own the technical growth stack end to end. The marketing site, the landing pages, the experiments, the tracking, and the dashboards that tell us what's actually working. This is a full-stack role pointed at one job: turn traffic into pipeline and prove it with data.

You'll live in our marketing-site codebase, shipping pages and conversion experiments in code, not in a page builder. You'll own the conversion-tracking pipeline, from Google Tag Manager (GTM) and tags through server-side conversion tracking into the ad platforms, so every dollar of spend maps to a real outcome. You'll build the reporting agents and dashboards the team runs on. You pair tightly with the Product Marketing Manager (PMM): they write the copy and own the message, you ship the page and measure the lift.

The scope grows from there. As the role grows, you'll build in-product growth features against the CTO's standards: onboarding, activation, referral loops, the surfaces where growth and product meet. You'll report to the COO/CMO on growth, with a dotted line to the CTO on engineering. Few roles let you own both the funnel and the code that runs it. This is one of them. Title and level scale with experience.

We're at Series A stage and scaling from 19 to 40 this year - real ownership, meaningful equity, and Florida no-state-income-tax take-home.

How We Use AI

  • You build with Claude Code every day. It's how we ship pages, wire up tracking, and stand up dashboards fast. AI handles the mechanical work so you spend your time on the experiment design and the analysis.
  • You'll use AI to move faster across the whole loop: generating page variants, drafting tracking specs, parsing analytics, and turning raw funnel data into something the team can act on.
  • You read what the AI produces and you catch what's wrong, especially in tracking logic, where a silent bug quietly corrupts every downstream number. AI accelerates the work; your judgment owns what ships.

The Stack

TypeScript end to end. Next.js (App Router) and React, NestJS, Postgres with Prisma, a Turborepo monorepo on Bun, Trigger.dev, Claude Code throughout. You live in the marketing-site codebase and dip into the product for growth features; add GTM, server-side conversion tracking, and the ad-platform APIs.

What You'll Do

Own the marketing site and landing pages

  • Build and ship the marketing site and landing pages in code, fast and to a high bar.
  • Stand up new pages, campaigns, and variants in days, not sprints, partnering with the PMM on message and copy.
  • Keep the site fast and clean: performance, Core Web Vitals, and a codebase that stays easy to move in.

Run conversion and experimentation

  • Own conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing end to end: hypothesis, build, ship, read the result, decide what wins.
  • Instrument the full funnel so every experiment has a clean, trustworthy number behind it.
  • Find the friction in the conversion path and remove it, then prove the lift.

Own tracking, reporting, and measurement

  • Own the tracking stack: GTM, tags, and server-side conversion tracking piped into the ad platforms via their APIs.
  • Build reporting agents and dashboards so the team sees what's working in near real time, without pulling numbers by hand.
  • Make the data trustworthy. You're the person who guarantees attribution and conversions are right.

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have

  • 3+ years building production software full-stack, with real shipping experience on web-facing products.
  • Strong Next.js and React skills. You build fast, polished pages in code and own them after launch.
  • A data instinct. You build dashboards, read funnels, and trust your own read of whether a number is real or a tracking artifact.
  • An AI-native workflow. Claude Code or similar is a primary part of how you work, not an occasional assist.

Strong Candidates May Also Have

  • Comfort with conversion tracking (GTM/tags) and a willingness to own server-side tracking and the ad-platform APIs (Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or similar).
  • Multi-platform conversion tracking wired across several ad channels at once, with the attribution untangled.
  • Programmatic SEO at scale: generating and maintaining large sets of pages that rank and convert.
  • Experience building in-product growth features: onboarding, activation, referral and viral loops.
  • Background at an early-stage startup or growth team where you owned the whole funnel, not one slice of it.
  • A genuine pull toward growth problems. You like owning the loop from page to pipeline and measuring your own impact.

How We Work

  • You think like an owner. The funnel is yours, the code is yours, and the number at the bottom is yours.
  • You'd rather ship an experiment this week and learn from real traffic than plan the perfect one for a quarter.
  • You hold strong opinions about what drives conversion and you update them the moment the data disagrees.

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a page-builder job. You ship the marketing site in code, you don't drag blocks around a CMS.
  • Not copywriting. The PMM owns the message and the words; you own the build, the tracking, and the measured lift.
  • Not "ship it and move on." You own the experiment loop, so you live with the results and iterate until the number moves.

Why Comp AI

  • We're at Series A stage, scaling from 19 to 40 people. Your work shows up directly in the growth numbers.
  • Real ownership and scope: the entire technical growth stack is yours, from the marketing site to the tracking to the in-product loops.
  • Meaningful equity. You share in the upside you help build.
  • Direct access to founders. Decisions happen in conversation, not in a deck three layers up.
  • A state-of-the-art office in Aventura, in the Miami metro, where we build in person.

Compensation and Logistics

Base: $150,000 - $185,000, plus meaningful equity (~0.20-0.40%).
