About the role

Concept Plus is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support critical client networks at Fort Meade. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, security hardening, and performance tuning of large-scale, on-premises Oracle database environments. This position focus is ensuring the mission-critical continuity of legacy data frameworks while laying the groundwork for secure cloud migration.

What you'll do

• Oversee the day-to-day administration, installation, configuration, and patching of Oracle 19c database environments on physical servers and engineered systems (Oracle Exadata).
• Diagnose and resolve complex database performance issues, optimize SQL/PL, utilize Automatic Workload Repository (AWR) reports, and manage Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC).
• Apply client Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to harden databases and ensure full compliance with high security baselines.
• Design, implement, and test robust backup and disaster recovery strategies using Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) and Data Guard.
• Assist cloud engineering teams by preparing, cleaning, and formatting legacy data schemas for eventual migration to cloud-native platforms.

Required Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance.
• Must be willing to go fully on-site in Fort Meade, MD.
• 7+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration within a secure federal environment.
• Deep expertise in Oracle 19c, RAC, Grid Infrastructure, Exadata, ASM, and RMAN. Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and shell scripting.
• CompTIA Security+ CE (or DoD IAT Level II equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Certified Professional
• Active U.S. Top Secret clearance with SCI or Full Scope Polygraph is a plus
