A little about the role
We’re looking for a Finance Manager who loves when things balance, deadlines are met, and everyone has the information they need.
You’ll be at the heart of our day-to-day finance operations in Toronto, owning client billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciliations, cash flow reporting, and month-end activities. You’ll work closely with our Client Partnership, Operations, and Project Management teams to make sure projects and billing stay accurate and on track.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll definitely spend time in spreadsheets and accounting systems, but you’ll also spend a lot of time working with people across the business to solve problems, update procedures, answer questions, and keep things moving.
What does success look like? Client invoices go out accurately and on time, reconciliations tie out, month-end deadlines are met, reporting is reliable, cash comes in and there are very few finance-related surprises.
You’ll report to the Head of Finance making this a great role for someone who likes owning their work while also helping others succeed.
This Role Reports to: Head of Finance
Compensation Range: 80,000–90,000 CAD
What you’ll be doing
Billing, revenue & client finance
We’re less interested in someone who checks every single box and more interested in someone who knows their stuff, takes ownership, and genuinely enjoys making finance processes work well for everyone it touches.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Work Environment
We have a hybrid environment, and this position will be a mix of in-office and remote work.
Benefits
You'll be enrolled in our benefits plan, which includes:
Company Culture & Perks
We're a growing, fast-paced, purpose-driven agency, guided by core values that shape everything we do. As a contract employee, your access to certain benefits and perks may vary. Your written employment agreement will confirm the details.
What we offer:
You’re someone who gets a little satisfaction when a reconciliation ties out perfectly, but you also genuinely enjoy working with people. You like having ownership of your work, you’re comfortable asking questions when something doesn’t make sense, and you’re good at keeping a lot of moving pieces organized without losing the details.
You’re naturally curious and always looking for ways to make a process a little better or easier for everyone. Most importantly, you’re dependable, approachable, and happy to jump in when the team needs you.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Some of our best ideas emerge when different perspectives collide. That's just one of the reasons we're committed to building and retaining a team that reflects diverse backgrounds, identities, experiences, and abilities. Through our core values, we foster a culture where everyone feels heard, included, and comfortable being themselves.
