Run the exam room so Year 12 students walk into their VCE exams knowing exactly what to expect.

Contour is looking for calm, organised and reliable Mock Exam Invigilators to join our Operations team on a casual basis.

You'll help deliver our VCE mock exams across Narre Warren, Melbourne CBD, Point Cook, Springvale, Glen Waverley (Railway Parade) and Box Hill, giving students a full rehearsal of real exam conditions before the real thing.

Please note: we are seeking candidates available for our exam block from 19th to 23rd October, with paid training held the week prior.

Reporting to our Event Delivery Lead, you'll be on the floor from set-up to pack-down: checking students in, running the exam room to strict exam conditions, and making sure every student is supported on the day. If you remember what it felt like to sit your own VCE exams, this is your chance to make that week easier for someone else.

Who we are

Contour was founded in 2020 by students who saw that the quality of your education was basically a lottery. Teachers stretched thin by the system, learning materials that varied from school to school, and support that stopped the moment you left the classroom.

We began with 5 students in a room. Today 15,000+ students have trusted Contour as their academic partners, and we've grown to 500+ team members across 10 campuses in Australia. In 2025 we ranked #8 on the AFR Fast 100 of fastest-growing companies.

We've produced hundreds of 99+ ATARs, tutored the world-record UCAT scorer, and placed 850+ students into medical and dental schools across Australia.

Contour is made up of three brands:

• Contour Education → academic performance in high school
• Contour MedPrep → entry into medical and dental schools
• Contour TestPrep → entry into selective and scholarship schools

Contour is built by students, for students.

What You Will Do

You'll make sure every mock exam runs on time, to the rules, and with students feeling supported.

• Exam set-up and pack-down: Arrange exam rooms, seating and materials to the run sheet, then reset the venue once the session ends.
• Check-in and attendance: Greet students, mark attendance accurately and flag absentees to the Event Delivery Lead.
• Invigilation: Supervise exam rooms under strict test conditions, keep accurate timing, and collect and secure all exam papers.
• Student conduct and wellbeing: Monitor the room, deal with issues calmly, and support students with approved Special Examination Arrangements as directed.
• Team communication: Follow briefings from the Event Delivery Lead, report incidents promptly and share feedback in daily team huddles.

What You Will Bring

• Availability for the full exam block from 19th to 23rd October, plus training the week prior.
• A valid Working with Children Check for Victoria (or willingness to obtain one before the exam block).
• Completed Year 12 in Australia (VCE preferred), with a clear understanding of exam conditions.
• High attention to detail with timing, attendance records and exam papers.

• Clear, friendly communication with students, parents and colleagues.
• Flexibility to travel across our Melbourne venues as rostered.
• Experience in tutoring, mentoring, exam invigilation or event work is desirable but not required.

Why You Will Love It

• Help Year 12 students walk into their VCE exams prepared, as part of one of Australia's fastest-growing education companies.
