Summary:
As a Project Manager at Digital Path, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of internet infrastructure and telecommunication projects. This will include all ALERTWest camera projects within our network or for other networks that have requested installation/maintenance. You will oversee Project Coordinators and be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as you'll work closely with clients, internal teams, and vendors to meet project requirements and deliverables.
Additional information:
- This position is a full-time position on-site at our office in Chico, CA.
- A typical work week is 8 hours daily Monday through Friday but may require overtime or off schedule hours.
- Must be able to work in a group setting or in an office independently.
- Most work will be in an office setting, with work to be performed outside in the elements, including site visits and meetings.
Minimum Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Leadership:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and finalization of projects according to strict deadlines and budgets.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initiation to completion, ensuring they align with company goals and objectives.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Monitor and track the progress of projects, ensuring milestones are met, and projects are delivered on schedule.
- Ensure proper resource allocation and address potential issues to prevent project delays.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and supervise Project Coordinators and other project team members.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Project Coordinators and ensure they are on track with their deliverables.
- Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to develop the skills and performance of the team.
- Foster collaboration and communication between team members and departments.
Telcom Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of telecom network practices.
- Advanced understanding of electronic theory and practices.
- Advanced understanding of construction drawings and code.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication of project goals, progress, and challenges.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and met.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project status, risks, and necessary adjustments.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure comprehensive project documentation is maintained, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
- Prepare detailed project reports for senior management, identifying successes, issues, and areas for improvement.
- Oversee project risk management, identifying potential challenges early and implementing solutions to mitigate risks.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Manage project budgets, tracking project costs and expenditures to ensure projects stay within budgetary constraints.
- Approve and monitor vendor contracts and expenses related to project activities.
- Identify opportunities to reduce project costs without compromising quality or scope.
- Prepare and submit vendor invoices.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all projects adhere to company quality standards and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular evaluations of ongoing projects to ensure compliance with performance standards and specifications.
- Implement corrective measures where necessary to address any project shortcomings.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- Four-year degree in a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Business, or a technical field; or demonstrable project management skills acquired through professional experience.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interface with clients, vendors, and senior management.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of handling high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of internet infrastructure, telecom, and construction is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
- Travel: Occasional travel may be required to project sites.
- Work Environment: Primarily office-based with some fieldwork required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Consistent adherence to a 40-hour work schedule is necessary.
- Occasional physical tasks may include stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to navigate various departments within the organization's facilities.
