Role & Responsibilities

The Strategist, Paid Social & Customer Acquisition is a senior-level position at Dreww. In this role, your mission is to influence consumer habits at scale by designing and implementing comprehensive paid social media strategies aimed at increasing our clients’ revenue while maintaining a positive ROI. You will take full ownership and be responsible for meeting established performance targets and KPIs.

Your key responsibilities include understanding the client’s financial growth objectives and reverse engineering a financial marketing model that accounts for unit economics, gross margin, CLTV, CAC, CRV, CTR, CPMs, and other relevant metrics. This will enable you to confidently forecast the marketing expenditures required to meet the desired revenue growth objectives.

You will execute your strategy using paid social media campaigns, including crafting messaging strategies for ad creatives, writing ad copy, scripting videos, and overseeing the production and post-production of videos and static creative assets. From time to time, you will also support other acquisition initiatives such as paid search, conversion rate optimization, and email marketing, in collaboration with a Specialist, Customer Acquisition and Content.

As a Strategist, Paid Social & Customer Acquisition, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Ownership of Results: Take ownership and be responsible for meeting established performance targets and KPIs.
  • Financial Model Development: Develop a marketing financial model based on the client’s revenue and/or gross profit goals to reveal the necessary budget to achieve these goals.
  • Comprehensive Strategy Creation: Use the financial model and objectives to create a comprehensive strategy aimed at achieving the client’s goals.
  • Messaging Strategy: Craft messaging strategies for ad creatives.
  • Ad Creative Strategies: Direct the creation of all ad creatives for paid ads.
  • Testing Plan Development: Create a testing plan to prioritize and test different messaging angles, ad formats, and styles.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to update them on progress, gather feedback, and ensure alignment on goals.
  • Acquisition Initiatives: Contribute to other acquisition initiatives such as paid search, conversion rate optimization, and email marketing.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor performance metrics to ensure strategies are achieving desired results and make adjustments as needed.
  • Reporting: Building monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports that include comprehensive analysis and insights on how to continually improve strategies.
  • Professional Development and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to Junior Specialists and Specialists, helping them develop their skills and advance in their careers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, psychology, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Work Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a role focused on paid social media and customer acquisition, preferably within an agency setting.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles and practices, with the ability to align marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Financial Modeling Expertise: Proficiency in developing and analyzing financial models to forecast marketing expenditures and measure ROI.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial models and marketing metrics.
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with social media platforms, analytics tools, and advertising platforms such as Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Shopify.
  • Content Creation: Proven skills in crafting effective ad copy, scripting videos, and supervising the production and editing of video and static graphics.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies based on financial goals and market research.
  • Client Management: Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with a track record of maintaining and developing strong client connections.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with email marketing, conversion rate optimization, and other customer acquisition tactics.
