About the role

As a Technical Solutions Consultant in our Client Onboarding team, you’ll be the bridge between our technology and client success. This is a client-facing role where you’ll own the entire client onboarding experience - from discovery and solution design to delivery and post-implementation review.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Solution Design

• Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EML’s payment products and API-first platform.
• Partner with clients to understand their objectives and design solutions that align with EML’s capabilities.
• Lead client discovery sessions to define client needs via a comprehensive investigation process, gather requirements and document detailed Program Specifications.

• Present solutions, run demos, and facilitate technical discussions with confidence, solving problems for both new and existing clients
• Work with the Product team to scope customization requests

Project Delivery & Implementation

• Take full ownership of assigned projects and client relationships - managing scope, timelines, and deliverables while acting as the primary point of contact to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and long-term client success.
• Develop and manage project plans, coordinating and overseeing delivery from cross-functional teams (Product, Development, Risk, Legal, Finance).
• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and security frameworks.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Sales to scope solutions and respond to RFPs with technical input.
• Provide feedback to Product teams on client needs and potential enhancements.
• Analyse delivery performance and recommend process optimizations.

Key relationships:

Internal

You will work closely with employees from all areas of the business including commercial, customer success, finance, treasury, risk, development and legal.

External

You will work closely with EML clients as well as strategic partners such as card manufacturers and distributors. Servicing clients is largely done via video conferencing.

What you’ll bring

• Strong technical understanding with ability to deeply understand then translate client requirements into technical solutions that help them achieve their goals.
• Proven experience in project management and managing multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to lead with ownership, demonstrate accountability and build trusted relationships
• A proven track record of delivering projects for clients.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to documentation on project status, knowledge, requirements and reporting.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills—comfortable presenting to clients and executives.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity and problem-solving mindset.
• Interest in understanding how our risk, compliance, legal frameworks apply to projects.
• Background in payments, fintech, or API-driven platforms preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
