About Foxleigh Mine: 
Foxleigh Mine is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin coalfield, 12km south of Middlemount and 272km northwest of Rockhampton. The mine was established in 1999 as an open cut operation producing benchmark quality, LV PCI coal for the export market.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and working closely with Leading Hands and the wider Maintenance team, we are seeking motivated and safety-focused Diesel Fitters to play a key role in maintaining the reliability and performance of Foxleigh Mine's equipment fleet.

This role is responsible for safely executing preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance activities across our coal haulage fleet, including Kenworth Road trains and associated haulage equipment, as well as ancillary equipment such as pumps, generators and lighting plants.

Depending on your skills and experience, you may be assigned to either the Coal Haulage or Ancillary Equipment team, or have the opportunity to work across both areas. All work is to be completed in accordance with statutory requirements, OEM standards and site procedures to support safe, efficient and reliable maintenance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Performing preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance on haulage fleet and ancillary equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical faults and carrying out repairs to a high standard
• Conducting inspections, servicing and component replacements
• Troubleshooting engine, hydraulic, transmission and drivetrain systems
• Identifying and reporting equipment defects and reliability concerns
• Completing maintenance documentation and work orders accurately
• Supporting equipment reliability through quality workmanship
• Maintaining a strong commitment to safety and housekeeping standards

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Fitter, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment, haulage fleets and/or ancillary equipment within mining, civil or heavy industry environments.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and troubleshooting capability.
• Sound understanding of safe work practices, isolation procedures and maintenance systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
• Current Open Driver's Licence.
• Standard 11 and Health Assessment (or ability to obtain)
