About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Traffic Control Workers to join our team, primarily across Lower mainland BC, with a focus on Vancouver and surrounding areas. This role requires a strong understanding of construction environments and traffic control practices. You will play a key role in maintaining safety and ensuring smooth operations on site.

What You’ll Do

  • Direct traffic flow around construction zones to ensure safety for workers and the public
  • Set up and maintain traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barriers
  • Communicate with construction crews to coordinate operations
  • Protect workers by keeping work areas clear of traffic and warning of hazards
  • Monitor site conditions and adjust traffic control measures as needed
  • Review traffic management plans (TMPs)
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Report incidents or hazards immediately
  • Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • BCCSA-approved Traffic Control Person certification
  • Proven experience as a Traffic Control Person (required)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in construction or heavy equipment environments is an asset
  • Familiarity with paving processes and site protocols is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to stay calm and make quick decisions in fast-paced environments

Pay Rates

  • Traffic Control Person (TCP): Starting at $21.47/hour + vacation pay and statutory pay
  • Lane Control Technician (LCT): Starting at $28.02/hour + vacation pay and statutory pay

Base wage will increase after successful completion of the probation period.
