Data Operations Coordinator

Ideon is the infrastructure layer powering modern employee benefits. We’ve built the industry’s first multi-carrier, end-to-end API platform for health insurance and employee benefits—spanning quoting, enrollment, and member management. With deep integrations across all major medical carriers and growing adoption from leading benefits platforms, Ideon is at the center of a major industry transformation.

About the Data Operations Team

The Data Operations team sits at the heart of what makes Ideon work. We use in-house tooling to manage the flow of data between Ideon and insurance carriers—configuring connections, monitoring transmissions, and resolving issues so that every group and individual we support experiences seamless connectivity.

We’re a collaborative, growth-minded team that takes ownership of both our processes and our tooling. We set ambitious goals, hit them, and always look for smarter ways to work.

The Role

We’re looking for a Data Operations Coordinator who loves working with data and takes pride in solving problems before they become issues. You’ll own a meaningful portion of our operations from day one—working closely with your teammates to ensure data flows accurately and on time.

What You’ll Do

  • Gather and process data from a variety of external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify and onboard new data sources as our carrier and platform footprint grows.
  • Proactively surface and resolve data quality issues before they impact customers.
  • Own your assigned workload independently while staying closely connected to the broader team.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in our processes and tooling.

What We’re Looking For

  • Familiarity with healthcare data and an understanding of how the health insurance or employee benefits ecosystem works — including how data flows between carriers, employers, and platforms (a strong plus).
  • A sharp eye for detail and experience auditing data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency across sources.
  • A bias toward action — you flag issues early, follow through to resolution, and manage multiple priorities without dropping the ball.
  • Comfort reading and writing basic SQL queries; experience using tools like Jira to track and resolve data issues.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and experienced building or improving operational processes, not just following them.
  • Strong written communication skills — especially important in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with customer-facing and technical teams.

Location: This is a remote role open to candidates based in the US. You’ll work closely with your Data Operations teammates across time zones, with strong async communication and regular collaboration.
