Senior Product Manager

What We Do

Integer builds software-defined capabilities for defense and mission-critical environments. Our software platform sits at the core of how our customer-facing organizations deliver mission outcomes.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager who thinks and operates like a strategist. This isn’t a role for someone who simply manages a backlog and attends standups. It’s a role for someone who understands the market, shapes the product vision, partners with BD and strategy to anticipate what customers will need before they ask for it, and then works with engineering to build it. You’ll face outward, toward customers and government stakeholders, as much as you face inward toward engineering and delivery.

This person will operate at the intersection of strategy, business development, and product execution, with direct visibility into Integer’s most important growth priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary which exceeds local & national industry averages.
  • Integer fully covers medical, prescription, vision, and dental insurance costs for the employee and dependents. Integer’s standard plan pays 100% of health insurance premiums for your entire family from a well-known national insurer, saving employees thousands of dollars annually.
  • Year-end performance-based bonuses.
  • 401(k) with company matching that vest immediately; no funny business.
  • Paid vacation.
  • Paid sick leave.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Relocation assistance available.

Company Perks

  • Startup culture with the stability of a large company. Integer’s business plan has years of time phased contracted work, alleviating the would-be risk from a traditional small company.
  • Direct access to company leadership, prioritization of people over process, and a stellar team with a shared desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Friendly atmosphere where people enjoy not only their work and what they are creating but enjoy helping each other as well.
  • Bottomless coffee.

About the role

Product Strategy

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for Integer’s defense software product portfolio, particularly the DIGIT solution set, with a clear point of view on where the market is going and how our products should get there first
  • Work closely with the CSO and BD to understand the pursuit pipeline and ensure product capabilities are positioned ahead of upcoming bids and customer conversations
  • Translate mission requirements, from both internal stakeholders and external customers, into a prioritized, executable roadmap that engineering can build with confidence
  • Define what success looks like for each product area and establish the metrics to measure it
  • Own the product pricing model and strategy over time

External Engagement

  • Engage directly with customers and government stakeholders to gather requirements, validate direction, and build product credibility in the field
  • Partner with BD to support captures and proposals where product knowledge and positioning matter
  • Serve as a product spokesperson who can walk a customer through capability gaps, roadmap direction, and integration considerations without needing a translator

Internal Leadership

  • Serve as the primary product interface to the VP of Mission Solutions, treating their team as your most important internal customer and ensuring their operational needs drive product priorities
  • Facilitate alignment across engineering, strategy, and mission delivery on scope, priority, and release timing
  • Communicate roadmap status, tradeoffs, and risks clearly to senior leadership

Product Execution

  • Drive the full product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements through delivery, release, and adoption
  • Partner with engineering to define MVPs, protect scope, and maintain velocity without sacrificing quality
  • Ensure every release is accompanied by the context, documentation, and enablement that mission delivery teams need to put it to use

Platform Growth

  • Think beyond today’s scope. Identify where the portfolio should expand, what adjacent capabilities matter, and how to build for a larger user base over time
  • Establish product processes and feedback loops that scale as the portfolio and the team grow

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of product management experience, with a track record of owning complex software products from concept through customer delivery
  • A genuinely strategic mindset. I.e. you think about markets, positioning, and customer problems, not just features and sprint cycles
  • Experience engaging external defense customers and end users directly, including gathering requirements, presenting roadmaps, building trust
  • Ability to work fluidly across BD, strategy, engineering, and operations without losing the thread
  • Strong communicator—crisp in writing, credible in the room, effective with both technical teams and senior leaders
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and defining structure where it doesn’t exist
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or government contracting, including understanding of how programs are structured, funded, and won
  • Familiarity with unmanned systems, shipboard systems, or command and control software
  • Background in commercial software product management with the instincts to apply those practices to mission environments
  • Experience supporting BD efforts, including shaping product narratives for proposals, participating in customer engagements, contributing to capture strategy
  • Exposure to IRAD or internal product development in a govcon context
