About the role

GP Motor Company is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team. This is a commission-based sales role built for someone who understands the automotive sales process, values customer relationships, and is motivated by performance-based income. We maintain steady inventory, consistent traffic, and a sales environment designed to support professionals who are serious about selling and earning at a high level.

What you'll do

  • Work directly with customers from first contact through vehicle delivery
  • Identify customer needs and match them with the right vehicle
  • Present vehicle features, pricing, and financing options clearly and professionally
  • Build strong customer relationships to support repeat business and referrals
  • Follow up consistently with leads, appointments, and showroom traffic
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation
  • Work closely with sales management and finance to keep deals moving efficiently
  • Meet or exceed individual sales goals and dealership performance expectations

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of proven automotive sales experience required
  • Strong closing, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage the full sales process from greeting through delivery
  • Self-motivated with strong follow-up habits and a performance-driven mindset
  • Professional communication and presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check
  • Spanish-speaking candidates are highly encouraged to apply

Schedule & Work Environment

  • Full-time position
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Schedule may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays based on dealership needs
  • In-person role in a fast-paced dealership sales environment with regular customer interaction

Compensation

Commission-based compensation with earning potential up to $180,000 per year
