Prep Cook (Kona)

Kona Brew is looking for a Prep Cook who takes pride in quality ingredients, a well-organized kitchen, and a job done right. In this role, you’ll help set our kitchen team up for success by preparing ingredients and recipes that keep service running smoothly. What You’ll Do

• Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion ingredients for daily service.
• Prepare sauces, dressings, and other menu components according to recipes and quality standards.
• Follow prep lists and communicate with kitchen leadership about priorities, product needs, and readiness for service.
• Label, date, rotate, and properly store ingredients and prepared foods.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and storage areas clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and safe equipment-handling procedures.
• Use ingredients thoughtfully to maintain consistency and minimize waste.
• Help receive and organize deliveries and support other kitchen tasks as needed.
• Work respectfully with teammates to create a positive, dependable kitchen environment.

What You’ll Bring

• Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and instructions.
• The ability to stay organized, manage priorities, and work efficiently in a busy kitchen.
• A reliable, team-focused approach and a willingness to learn.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

This position involves standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements; working around hot equipment and in refrigerated areas; and lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
