Lone Mountain Ranch

For more than 100 years, Lone Mountain Ranch has welcomed guests to beautiful Big Sky, Montana. Set on 148 acres just minutes from Yellowstone National Park, the Ranch is known for authentic Western hospitality, exceptional dining, outdoor adventures, and unforgettable guest experiences.

The beauty of the Ranch may be what guests remember first, but it's the people who create the experiences they remember most. Together, we take pride in caring for this special place—preserving its history, stewarding its natural surroundings, and creating meaningful experiences for every guest who visits.

Whether you're welcoming guests, preparing memorable meals, caring for our historic property, or supporting operations behind the scenes, every role contributes to creating unforgettable experiences while helping shape the next chapter of Lone Mountain Ranch's legacy.

Help Guests Get Where They're Going—Safely and with Exceptional Service

Our Transportation Drivers do more than get guests from one place to another. They create a safe, comfortable, and welcoming experience while helping guests navigate their time at Lone Mountain Ranch and throughout the Big Sky area.

We're looking for dependable, service-minded drivers who take safety seriously, enjoy interacting with guests, and can adapt as schedules, weather, and transportation needs change throughout the day. You'll be trusted to make good decisions behind the wheel, care for Ranch vehicles, and represent Lone Mountain Ranch professionally wherever the road takes you.

What You'll Do

  • Safely transport guests, employees, luggage, and other items to destinations on and off the Ranch.
  • Provide warm, professional service and assist guests with luggage and transportation-related needs.
  • Share helpful information about the Ranch, its amenities and activities, and the surrounding area.
  • Adjust driving practices for changing road, traffic, and weather conditions, including snow and ice.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and keep vehicles clean, fueled, stocked, and guest-ready.
  • Communicate proactively about schedules, delays, guest needs, vehicle concerns, and changing conditions.
  • Maintain required trip, mileage, and transportation records.
  • Respond calmly and appropriately to unexpected situations, vehicle issues, or guest concerns.
  • Support other departments and shared Ranch operational needs when needed.

Who Thrives Here

You'll do well in this role if you're dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable spending much of your day behind the wheel. You enjoy meeting and talking with people, stay calm when plans change, and understand that great hospitality can be as simple as a safe drive, a helping hand with luggage, or a helpful conversation along the way.

You also understand that Montana weather doesn't always cooperate with the schedule. You're confident making responsible decisions in winter driving conditions and are willing to adjust as guest needs and Ranch operations change.

What You'll Bring

  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to meet Lone Mountain Ranch driving eligibility requirements.
  • Clean driving record and commitment to safe, responsible driving.
  • Experience driving in varied road and weather conditions, including snow and ice.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills.
  • Dependability, punctuality, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable when schedules or priorities change.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move luggage and other items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Comfort working varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of Big Sky and the surrounding area preferred.
  • CDL Class A or B preferred.

Why Join Lone Mountain Ranch?

At Lone Mountain Ranch, you'll work alongside exceptional people who care deeply about what they do and the experience we create together. We believe great hospitality comes from people who take pride in their work, support one another, and understand that every role has an impact.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a historic Montana ranch, develop your skills, take ownership of meaningful work, and be part of a team committed to craftsmanship, genuine hospitality, and creating unforgettable experiences for our guests.
