Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile and highly skilled IT professional to join our team in a dual-faceted role. The ideal candidate will maintain the health, security, and performance of our database environments, while simultaneously driving core systems administration, hardware deployment, and technical support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration & Management

  • Maintain the integrity, security, and high availability of multiple SQL databases.
  • Manage complete database and software lifecycles to ensure peak performance and compliance with business requirements.
  • Execute disaster recovery procedures, performance analysis, query tuning, and routine index maintenance.
  • Architect and format data structures to optimize storage capacity and query efficiency.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust policies and procedures to safeguard database security.

Systems Administration & IT Operations

  • Configure, deploy, and maintain UNIX and Windows operating systems, actively implementing enhancements to boost system reliability.
  • Perform comprehensive system administration tasks, including Active Directory (AD) account management, DHCP IP allocation, and SCCM tracking during deployments.
  • Analyze system capacity and optimize resource utilization to proactively improve network and system performance.
  • Conduct pre-installation network surveys and manage the configuration and installation of Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems.

Technical Support & Hardware Deployment

  • Provide comprehensive Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, diagnosing and resolving issues across client, server, storage, network, and mobile devices.
  • Manage the imaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle replacement of computers, thin clients, and phones across multiple sites and networks.
  • Deliver detailed root-cause analysis and actionable feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated IT tickets.
  • Facilitate user training and support during scheduled software and hardware deployments.

Inventory & Compliance Management

  • Maintain accurate hardware inventory records, providing routine updates to Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) and property managers regarding equipment transfers.
  • Ensure clear, consistent, and proactive communication with internal customers and project managers to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of all IT tasks.

Qualifications:

  • One (1) to Fifteen (15) years’ experience as a System Administrator (SA) in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Certifications Required:

  • Security+ CE certification is required.


Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph

Pay Range: $125,000-$185,000
