Dining Experience Ambassador - 12 hours/weekly

McLean is a Life Plan community committed to caring for people and caring for nature.  We were founded thanks to the generosity and foresight of Senator George McLean over 55 years ago.  We have Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing residents on our 110-acre campus.  We also house the McLean Center of Wellness, which includes Outpatient Rehabilitation.  We have a Homecare and Hospice Agency, and an Adult Day Program.  We steward over 4,400 acres of land with 28 miles of hiking trails at the McLean Game Refuge.

Rate of Pay - $18.00/hr 4p-8p - includes every other weekend rotation (Sunday brunch 11a-2p - no dinner service)

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and friendly Dining Services Ambassador to provide exceptional mealtime experiences for our residents. In this role, you will do more than take orders—you will build genuine relationships, offer a warm and welcoming presence, and ensure each resident enjoys a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable dining experience!

In this role you will:

·        Greet residents and guests with a warm, courteous attitude.

·        Present menus, explain daily specials, and take food and beverage orders accurately.

·        Accommodate special dietary needs, preferences, or modified-texture diets with patience and care.

·        Serve meals and drinks promptly, checking back regularly to ensure satisfaction.

·        Clear, sanitize, and reset tables between seatings.

·        Stock and clean side stations, condiments, and beverage areas.

·        Maintain safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health codes.

·        Learn residents’ names and dining preferences to provide consistent, personal service.
