Director of Product Management

About Measurabl

Measurabl has developed the leading ESG (environmental, social, governance) data management solution for commercial real estate—and we’re looking forward to doing so much more! Our team is a diverse group of innovators, leaders, and creators who are passionate about the work we do. We believe technology plays a central role in creating a sustainable, equitable world, and we’re working to build something that matters.

Overview:

The Director of Product Management at Measurabl is responsible for leading the product development and design teams, and overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to market launch and continuous improvement. This role entails working closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and sales, to ensure successful product outcomes aligned with company objectives and market needs.

In addition to the core responsibilities of the role, this position requires a genuine point of view on how AI changes what gets built and how it should be evaluated — not AI as a bolt-on feature set, but as a shift in how products are built, tested, and trusted. Because Measurabl's products sit at the intersection of commercial real estate and sustainability/ESG data, this role also requires comfort with a data environment that is fragmented and often manually entered, and an understanding of the audit-grade accuracy bar that regulatory-adjacent reporting requires.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

The essential functions and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Product Strategy Development

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine the product vision and strategy.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable product roadmaps with clearly defined milestones.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to ensure our products meet and exceed industry standards, including standards set by leading AI-native and proptech companies.
  • Make explicit trade-offs in the roadmap and be able to defend what the team is deliberately not building.
  • Weigh where AI and automation genuinely improve the product against the cost, complexity, and risk they add, and reflect that judgment in roadmap and build-vs-buy decisions.

Leadership and Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of product managers, designers, and related staff, setting clear goals and expectations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and high performance through effective leadership and mentorship.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of product management staff to build a high-caliber team.
  • Build the team's ability to assess AI/ML feature quality before launch — including reading model performance data — so ship decisions are made on evidence, not enthusiasm.

Execution and Delivery

  • Ensure timely delivery of products through effective planning and coordination with engineering teams.
  • Drive product development priorities and resource allocation, ensuring optimal deployment of personnel and budgets.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and make data-driven decisions to enhance product offerings.
  • Set accuracy and reliability benchmarks for any AI-powered feature before it ships, and hold or delay a launch when those benchmarks aren't met, even under schedule pressure.
  • Track the ongoing accuracy of AI-powered features in production with the same rigor applied to other product metrics, given the regulatory stakes of our customers' data.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Manage the product management budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Plan and allocate resources in alignment with strategic priorities and financial objectives.
  • Weigh the cost, latency, and control trade-offs of building, licensing, or fine-tuning AI capabilities as part of resource planning.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Serve as the key product evangelist, communicating the product vision and value proposition internally and externally.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives.
  • Represent product directly to enterprise customers who are domain experts (e.g., sustainability directors, facilities managers) rather than software buyers, and navigate multi-stakeholder buying and adoption processes.
  • Ensure customer-facing AI features include clear human review and escalation paths, and can be explained plainly to customers and auditors.

Education & Experience:

We have identified the following programs, experience, and knowledge that have helped others find success in this role at Measurabl. We understand though that knowledge comes from many forms of learning and experiences. Above all, we consider a person’s potential impact in the role and value their unique path to this point in their career.

  • Ability to get things done in a highly collaborative, distributed and ambiguous environment.
