Role Description: What Will You Do?

  • Design, develop, and test software components used by automotive dealerships to interact with their customers.
  • Lead the design, build, and integration of AI/ML solutions, including: developing and consuming LLM APIs, fine-tuning, and deploying models into production systems.
  • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders—including customers—to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Work across a variety of tech stacks (microservices, mobile development, cloud platforms, etc.) in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
  • Mentor and review the work of SDE I engineers, helping them grow in technical expertise.
  • Take initiative to improve overall system architecture, scalability, and reliability.
  • Exercise ownership by challenging trade-offs between speed and reliability when building solutions (“pulling the Andon cord”).

Education & Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience developing cloud-based software services with a strong understanding of design for scalability, performance, and reliability.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and optimizing AI/ML solutions in production environments. [Preferred]
  • Education: BTech or Equivalent 4yr degree in Computer Science/Engineering (Tier 1/Tier 2 institutes such as IIT/NIT preferred, but not required).

AI/ML Fundas

  • Data & ML Lifecycle: Can clearly explain the purpose and importance of train/validation/test splits. Understands "garbage in, garbage out" and the conceptual importance of data cleaning, normalization, and augmentation. Can explain the purpose of common metrics (e.g., accuracy, precision/recall, loss) and identify clear overfitting or underfitting from loss curves.
  • Neural Networks (NNs): Can intuitively explain the basic components of a neural network (neurons, layers, weights, activation functions). Understands how a network "learns" via loss functions, gradient descent, and backpropagation. Can differentiate between training and inference.
  • Transformers: Understands the motivation for the Transformer architecture (limitations of RNNs/CNNs). Nice to have: Can intuitively explain key components like self-attention, positional encodings, and encoder-decoder structure. Grasps self-attention and multi-head attention concepts.
  • Large Language Models (LLMs): Understands the relationship between Transformers and LLMs (scaling laws, pre-training/fine-tuning). Familiar with tokenization and prompt-based interaction. Aware of core application patterns like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and LLM-based agents. Nice to have: Recognizes model limitations (hallucinations) and the importance of responsible AI.

Technologies We Use

You don’t need to know all of these from day one—but familiarity with several is a big plus:

  • Languages: Java, Python, C#
  • Frontend: Angular, React, GWT
  • Mobile: Android (Kotlin), iOS (Swift), Flutter
  • Frameworks & Infrastructure: Spring, Microservices, Docker, Drools, Kong, Kubernetes
  • Databases: Aurora MySQL, Aurora Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch, Vitess
  • Messaging: RabbitMQ, Kafka
  • AI/ML Tools: OpenAI API, Gemini API, Claude API, self-fine-tuned open-source models, Codex, Claude Code, ChatGpt
  • Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud

We know great candidates don't always match every requirement. If this role excites you and your experience aligns with many of the qualifications, we'd encourage you to apply. Skills can be learned—we also value curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to grow.
