About the role:
Under the supervision of the Supply Chain Director, the Production Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating and optimizing all production activities to ensure products are delivered on time and in the required quantities. The role works closely with the production, procurement, logistics and sales teams to ensure the efficiency of the manufacturing process.
What you'll do:
- Analyze sales opportunities and participate in the development of the production plan;
- Maintain and adjust the production plan based on sales forecasts, factory capacity, and raw material lead times;
- Determine manufacturing priorities and determine work order requirements;
- Ensure that the necessary materials are available for production (Clear to build);
- Communicate daily with other departments and management to report delays and schedule adjustments;
- Provide accurate commitment dates to internal requesters;
- Maintain and optimize planning parameters in the ERP system;
- Be able to develop planning tools.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in a similar position;
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with various stakeholders;
- Proficiency in integrated ERP and Excel systems (advanced);
- Ability to work rigorously while maintaining a flexible and proactive approach;
- Leadership and strong priority management skills;
- Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
- Experience in a high-tech or telecommunications company (an asset);
- College diploma (DEC) or a bachelor's degree in operations management (an asset).
