Office Manager

Role Overview

As the Office Manager at Order.co’s new NYC headquarters in the heart of Flatiron, you’ll take ownership of all things related to our physical space, as well as some HR administrative support, to ensure the employee experience reflects our company values and culture. This role will report to our Director of People Operations, and is ideal for someone who is passionate about serving others, thrives on variety, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to get the job done - whether that means calling a plumber to fix a sink, shipping branded assets to new hires, or planning our annual holiday party.


What You'll Do

  • Own daily office operations, including supply management, kitchen stocking, mail handling, and package coordination
  • Coordinate facilities and vendors (cleaning, pest control, plant services, maintenance, construction projects, etc.)
  • Manage front-of-house experience including visitor logistics and reception support
  • Plan and execute office events, catered lunches, happy hours, team gatherings, and employee celebrations
  • Support executive hospitality for board meetings, investor visits, and leadership events
  • Oversee shared spaces including kitchens, meeting rooms, and common areas to ensure a clean and organized workplace
  • Manage office access, badges, and general security logistics
  • Handle employee operational requests and ad hoc office support
  • Support equipment stipend administration and operational tracking
  • Own office projects such as space improvements, branding, and workplace experience initiatives


Who You Are

  • 3+ years of experience managing an office space, facilities, or similar roles
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management skills
  • Passionate about employee experience and creating a welcoming, inclusive, and efficient workspace
  • Gritty, hands-on, resilient, and unafraid to take on tasks big or small - from emptying the trash to organizing a company-wide event
  • Exceptional at context switching and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and finds innovative, cost-saving solutions
  • Comfortable working with external vendors, building management, and employees of all teams and levels at Order.co
  • Able to prioritize autonomously and eager to ask for help when needed
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations is a plus


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 40 lbs (e.g., office supplies, equipment, event materials)
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the office for extended periods
  • Capability to perform basic manual tasks such as assembling furniture, fixing minor issues, and organizing spaces
  • Comfortable climbing stairs or ladders as needed
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and tools

  • The anticipated annual salary for this role is $80,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation and title will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills.
