We are seeking a Sr Manager, Product Delivery to own end-to-end delivery for a business domain within our Innovation & Technology organization.

Known internally as a Value Stream Manager, this role leads a cross-functional team of Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and blended delivery teams to execute strategic initiatives that drive business value. You will be accountable for delivery outcomes, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement across your stream. This role manages 25+ internal and partner resources and reports to the Director of Value Streams. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-moving environment. We value leaders who lead from the front - setting direction while staying close to the details. You’ll build frameworks, coach teams, and contribute directly alongside the people you lead.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Delivery Ownership: Own the delivery outcomes for your value stream end-to-end. You are accountable for what gets delivered, when, and at what quality level.
  • Backlog Prioritization: Prioritize work within your stream balancing business value, technical needs, compliance deadlines, and available capacity. For single-sprint work, you own the prioritization decision. For 2+ sprint work or cross-stream dependencies, consult with the Director of Value Streams.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a blended team of Sr Product Owners, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads. Set expectations, remove barriers, and drive accountability.
  • Vendor Pod Management: Manage the blended delivery team assigned to your stream. Ensure pod performance meets sprint commitments and quality standards. Work with the Vendor Governance Manager on performance issues.
  • Stakeholder Alignment: Serve as the primary interface between your stream and business stakeholders. Ensure priorities are aligned with business objectives and communicate delivery status transparently.
  • Capacity Planning: Plan sprint capacity and resource allocation across internal and partner resources. Balance workload to maintain sustainable delivery velocity.
  • Process Compliance: Ensure your stream follows the 9-stage project delivery flow, including all gates, architecture reviews, and release readiness requirements.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and report delivery KPIs including sprint velocity, defect escape rates, and initiative completion. Identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Escalation: Serve as the first escalation point for delivery issues within your stream. Escalate cross-stream issues to the Director of Value Streams.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 6+ years in delivery management, program management, or product delivery leadership roles.
  • Minimum 2+ years in a leadership position managing cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to own end-to-end delivery outcomes for a business domain or product area with 20+ team members.
  • Strong working knowledge of Agile principles (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and experience managing both Agile and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Experience managing vendor or distributed delivery teams with clear performance expectations.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Planview, or similar portfolio and project management tools.
  • Insurance or financial services industry experience is a plus.
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe Agilist, or PMI-ACP certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated player/coach leadership style - you set the strategy AND roll up your sleeves to execute. You’re comfortable building the first version of a process, template, or deliverable yourself rather than waiting for your team to be in place.
