About Patriot Erectors, LLC

Patriot Erectors is a full-service, AISC-Certified Steel Fabricator and AISC-Certified Advanced Steel Erector. Since 1991, from our modern 60,000-square-foot facility just west of Austin, Texas, we’ve fabricated and erected structural steel for complex buildings and non-building structures — with a relentless focus on quality, safety, and pride in every project.

We’re a people-first company built on five values we call STEEL — Safety, Teamwork, Ethics, Enthusiasm, and Leadership. Our vision: Recognize a Need & Fulfill It.

Haul the steel that builds Texas.

Every beam we raise rides on your trailer first. We’re looking for an experienced flatbed pro who chains, straps, and tarps a load the right way, runs a clean inspection every time, and takes pride in delivering steel safely — for a company that treats drivers like the professionals they are.

Why Patriot — Not the Other Guys

Steady steel freight, not load-board roulette. You’ll haul for our own shop and our own projects — consistent, dedicated work for a company that’s been building Texas since 1991.

Safety is value #1. The first letter in our STEEL values is Safety. We run legal, we maintain our equipment, and we never push drivers past the rules.

Benefits drivers rarely see. Free, confidential mental-health support (Nivati EAP) for you and your family, Blue Points wellness rewards, pet insurance, a 401(k) match, and the Craig Cobb College Scholarship.

Your experience leads. You’ll train and mentor new CDL drivers — we hire professionals and treat them like it.

A stable, growing company. Dual AISC certification and divisions across Texas — your seat isn’t going anywhere but forward.

About the Role

Reporting to the Shop Manager at our Houston operation, you’ll be directly responsible for transporting steel and materials to assigned locations — safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with DOT regulations and company policy.

What You’ll Do

Drive: Operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and specialized commercial vehicles to deliver steel and materials to shops and jobsites.

Load & Secure: Load and unload cargo, and chain, strap, and tarp every load the right way to prevent damage in transit.

Inspect: Run thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections — keep your equipment safe, compliant, and road-ready.

Stay Compliant: Operate within all federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and Hours-of-Service rules.

Document: Complete bills of lading, delivery receipts, and all transportation records accurately.

Coordinate: Communicate with dispatch, customers, and crews so every delivery lands where and when it’s needed.

Mentor: Train and guide new CDL drivers on safe driving, securement, regulations, and Patriot standards.

Care for Equipment: Keep trucks, trailers, and gear clean, organized, and well-maintained.
