Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading, training, and supervising the housekeeping team to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas in accordance with Generation Hospitality Group standards. This role ensures operational excellence, guest satisfaction, and a positive, productive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily housekeeping operations including room assignments, inspections, and follow-up tasks.
- Inspect guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards as per Generation Hospitality policies and brand guidelines.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to housekeeping staff.
- Monitor and manage inventory of linen, cleaning supplies, and amenities; assist in ordering as necessary.
- Coordinate with front desk and maintenance departments to ensure timely room readiness and guest satisfaction.
- Address guest complaints or requests promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, room status, inspections, and maintenance needs.
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or housekeeping certifications a plus.
- Proficient in using housekeeping management software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal; bilingual abilities a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs., and stand/walk for extended period
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in hotel guest rooms, public areas, laundry, and office settings.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, varying temperatures, and occasional noise.
