Role Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support monthly close and accounts payable operations across a multi-subsidiary, e-commerce organization operating primarily through Amazon FBA. This role is a strong fit for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and wants ownership over both close-cycle accounting and AP processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Close

  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with month-end close timelines
  • Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and other key accounts)
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements across multiple subsidiaries
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during close and reconciliation processes
  • Support the Controller with close-related analysis and reporting deliverables
  • Maintain supporting documentation in accordance with accounting policy and audit requirements

Accounts Payable

  • Manage end-to-end AP processing, including invoice review, coding, and approval routing
  • Process payment runs and ensure timely, accurate vendor payments
  • Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger
  • Maintain vendor records and resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies
  • Monitor AP aging and flag outstanding items for follow-up

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close and AP
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting
  • Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations)
  • Experience with ERP systems required; NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-subsidiary environment is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amazon Marketplace / Amazon Seller Central transactions is a plus
  • NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
