Job Overview

Scene Health is on a mission to solve medication non-adherence. We’re a diverse team of designers, technologists, researchers, and public health enthusiasts committed to building high-impact technology that helps patients get better faster.

Scene provides a platform of mobile and web-based applications used in the US and abroad, which means a wide variety of work day-to-day. Our team is constantly taking on challenging and exciting problems, with the goal of making a serious impact on the lives of patients. We work with world-renowned clinicians and scientists to help patients facing significant health challenges. Our solution is offered to patients with infectious and chronic diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis C, opioid addiction/substance abuse, diabetes, asthma, and mental health. We partner with academic medical centers and adherence experts across the country to develop and validate our tech-enabled solution.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Patient Engagement Specialist for Research and Clinical Trials, who will deliver Scene’s digital adherence monitoring programs for academic and commercial research partners reporting to the Associate Program Manager. You will help study participants take their first critical steps toward better health. Scene serves patients virtually with chronic and behavioral health conditions. Our clinical pilot and trial management customers and their participants value meaningful support and engagement that is delivered routinely and rapidly.

In this role, you will be involved in programs to support research studies and clinical trials to deliver asynchronous monitoring of participants’ medication adherence to investigational study drugs and novel interventions. The Patient Engagement Specialist’s role involves helping research and clinical trial study sites and their patients begin a standardized medication adherence program that will help them track their progress, and establishing a responsive routine of documenting participant medication adherence. Starting and finishing strong in the monitoring program is paramount to study success.

You will also be involved in clinical programs monitoring patients’ adherence to prescription medications as a part of routine care. These programs can include populations with substance use disorders, chronic illnesses and mental health conditions. We take an engaging approach to motivate patients toward lasting change for healthy outcomes.

We are a distributed team with collaborations all over the country, so this is a remote position.  If you’re an empathetic and passionate individual who loves interacting with patients and clients, wants to help others, and cares about impacting the community, we’d love to hear from you!
