Microsoft Alliance Manager

Great partnerships create opportunities. At Summit, strategic technology partnerships help us expand our capabilities, strengthen our solutions, and deliver even greater value to our customers.

As a Microsoft Alliance Manager, you'll own and grow Summit's most strategic technology relationships, with a primary focus on Microsoft. You'll work across the organization and alongside our partners to identify new opportunities, strengthen collaboration, maximize partner programs, and ensure our partnerships support Summit's long-term business strategy.

This role is about more than managing relationships. It's about turning partnerships into meaningful business outcomes.

What You’ll Do:
  • Serve as Summit's primary relationship owner for strategic technology partners, with a primary focus on Microsoft.
  • Develop and execute partnership strategies that align with Summit's business objectives and long-term growth plans.
  • Build trusted relationships with partner executives, account teams, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration, investment, and growth.
  • Lead partnership planning, executive business reviews, and ongoing engagement activities to strengthen strategic relationships.
  • Maximize participation in partner programs, competencies, incentives, funding opportunities, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, Marketing, Product, Back Office Enablement, and executive leadership to align partnership initiatives with business priorities.
  • Monitor partner program changes, technology trends, and market opportunities, translating them into actionable recommendations for the business.
  • Identify opportunities to expand Summit's network of strategic technology partners through new alliances and partnership opportunities.
  • Track partnership performance, measure business impact, and communicate results and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Represent Summit professionally in partner engagements, executive meetings, and industry events.

What You’ll Deliver:
  • Strong executive relationships with strategic technology partners.
  • Partnership strategies that support business growth, innovation, and customer success.
  • Increased participation in strategic partner programs, incentives, and investment opportunities.
  • Better alignment between partner initiatives and Summit's business priorities.
  • Actionable insights that help leadership maximize the value of strategic partnerships.
  • Expanded strategic partnerships that strengthen Summit's competitive position.
  • Trusted collaboration across internal teams that helps transform partnerships into measurable business outcomes.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:
  • Have experience managing strategic technology partnerships, alliance programs, or partner networks.
  • Understand Microsoft's partner ecosystem, licensing programs, incentives, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Build trusted relationships with executives, partner organizations, and cross-functional business leaders.
  • Think strategically while maintaining strong execution and follow-through.
  • Enjoy connecting business strategy with technology solutions.
  • Influence decisions through collaboration, credibility, and strong communication rather than direct authority.
  • Are naturally curious and enjoy identifying opportunities that create value for both Summit and our partners.
  • Believe the best partnerships create lasting value for everyone involved.

Bonus Points:
  • Experience managing Microsoft Solutions Partner, CSP, Azure, or other Microsoft partner programs.
  • Existing relationships within Microsoft's partner ecosystem.
  • Experience with strategic partnerships involving Cisco, Dell, VMware, HPE, AWS, or other enterprise technology providers.
  • Experience supporting joint go-to-market initiatives, partner marketing, or business development.
  • Familiarity with managed services, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology solutions.
