Manufacturing Welder – Quality & Consistency Focused

We’re hiring a skilled welder to support our manufacturing operations.
You’ll work from prints and produce consistent, high-quality welds as part of an established production process.
This is a structured shop environment where teamwork and communication keep things running smoothly.
You’ll be expected to maintain quality standards and complete work efficiently and accurately.
We’re looking for someone dependable who takes pride in doing things right the first time.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Weld and fabricate components using MIG and wire welding processes
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
  • Operate welding and cutting equipment (GMAW, plasma cutter, oxyacetylene torch)
  • Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and consistency
  • Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and workmanship
  • Support continuous improvement and shop efficiency
  • Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
  • Act as a role model for safety and production best practices


What We’re Looking For

We want someone who doesn’t just weld—but takes ownership of the result.

Required Qualifications

  • Alberta Journeyman Welder certification
  • Minimum 2 years welding experience
  • Strong MIG and wire welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Physically able to perform hands-on industrial work

Assets

  • Production or manufacturing welding experience
  • Strong fabrication and fit-up skills
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior welders

Working Conditions

  • Industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, fumes, and moving equipment
  • Fast-paced shop environment with production targets
  • Use of respiratory protection (must be clean-shaven when required)
  • Overtime and occasional weekend work as required
  • Physically demanding role (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, crouching, climbing)

This is a safety-sensitive position. Successful candidates must pass required pre-employment testing, including functional fitness, mask fit, audiometric testing, and drug/alcohol screening.


Shift Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Overtime and weekends as required by production needs
